As if Days of our Lives isn't dark enough, the NBC soap has gone and cast veteran film actor Tobin Bell -- best known for his for his role as Jigsaw, a.k.a. John Kramer, in the scary Saw franchise -- for an upcoming story arc.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the New York native will be playing Yo Ling, the long lost father of John Black (Drake Hogestyn), for five episodes beginning March 11.
Bell's appearance marks the climax of John's search for his father, a war hero who supposedly died in Korea three weeks before John was born.
In addition to his Saw roles, Bell has appeared on such shows as Criminal Minds, 24, ER, and Seinfeld.
